PanAmerican Properties to Build New Greenhouse in 24 de Diciembre Panama for Exhibition of Paulownia

05 July 2009 24 de Diciembre, Panama: After several major floods the new Greenhouse is up and functioning.

The greenhouse  employs state of the art irrigation systems and we are working with paulownia seeds, (elongata, fortunei and tomentosa), root cuttings and cloning processes. Pictures at the following url.  http://paulownianow.org/index_archivos/currentevents.htm

16 June we went to Boquete, Panama and gave a Presentation on paulownia to a, near standing room only, group of members from the local community. People were standing at the door waiting for us when we arrived and followed us out  the door almost three hours later. We sold everything in the Greenhouse and took orders for more.

24-26 June we atended the Latin American Symposium for Carbon Credits. We had an opportunity to speak with both the outgoing President of Panama, Martin Torrijos, the Minister of Natural Resources, Licda Ligia de Doens, United Nations and World Bank representatives to update them on our paulownia project for peoples of extreme poverty in Panama. We were pleased to discover that our paulownia project was one of the few that could actually qualify to sell carbon credits.
